1, first look at the update failed record, the method is: into the WINDOWS7 system, click "Start-Control Panel-system and Security--windows Update-View the update history", where you can view the previous failure of the update, as shown in the following figure;
As you can see from the figure above, these failed updates cause the system to "Configure Windows Update failed and restore changes" every time that it is powered up. So to solve this problem, disable the Windows Update Service, and then remove the updates that were not successfully installed, and then let the system download and install the updates again, otherwise it cannot be deleted. The specific steps are as follows:
1, according to "Win + X" combination of the shortcut menu, select "Computer Management" in the Open "Computer Management" window to the left to find "service";
2. Then on the Windows Update Service, right-click to stop the Windows Update Service;
3, then the following path will be removed from all files X:windowssoftwaredistributiondatastore and e:windowssoftwaredistributiondownload;
4, then restart the Windows update Service by clicking on "Start-control Panel-system and security--windows updates";
5, in the Open Windows Update window, click on the left of the "check Update", and then patiently wait for the system to check the update completed, you will see that there are several important updates available;
6, then click on the window "important update available" in the Open "Select the Update to install" window, the default has been selected all updates, click on the bottom of the "Install" button, and then restart can be resolved.
PS: If you still receive the "Configure Windows Update failed, restoring changes" prompt, there is the possibility of third-party security software production issues, please uninstall the installed Third-party security software and try again.
