WIN7 Connect XP network printer Windows cannot connect to the printer deny access

Failure phenomenon:

Adding a printer in an XP way always prompts you for Windows cannot connect to the printer, or Windows cannot connect to the printer local print Spooler service is not running.

Reason Analysis:

The machine that is connected to the printer is a Windows XP system that has only a printer driver installed under XP that only supports machine-shared printing of xp/200x systems and does not support Windows 7 systems.

Solution:

1. Click Start---Control Panel---printer;

2. Select Add Printer;

3. Select Add Local printer, click Next;

4. Choose to create the port, select Local Port this item, click Next, prompt input port name, enter the absolute path of the shared printer, the format is * * * (share printer's computer name or IP address);

5. Choose your own network printer manufacturer, model, point next, if the list does not have to install the printer model, you can choose disk installation, click Browse to find the printer driver can.

6. Select the driver version, click Next;

7. Enter the name of the printer, click Next;

8. Add success, test printing is OK.
