Network Name not found
Today, a new win2000server is installed. When you use another computer in the LAN to enter the shared directory, the system always prompts that the network name cannot be found,
The settings are as follows;
IP address of machine A: 192.168.0.1
IP address of machine B: 192.168.0.2
Machine A runs Ping 192.168.0.2 normally
Machine B runs Ping 192.168.0.1 normally
Machine B runs \ 192.168.0.1 and prompts "network name not found"
Operate machine
Right-click my computer-> Manage folders-> share
Normally there should be an IPC $ remote IPC shared directory on the right
If not, the above problem will occur.
Solution (four in total, original Microsoft)
1. Run net share IPC under cmd $
2. Restart the server service.
3. Uninstall and reinstall network files and printer sharing
4. restart the computer
Method summary:
The first method is not very stable. Maybe the IPC $ will be blocked again (but I just need to re-open it)
The second and third methods are good. We recommend that you use them.
The fourth method can basically be thought of by everyone, but it is basically useless, because this IPC $ is probably blocked when it is started, most of the time it is processed by a batch file.
In fact, IPC $ is a Microsoft Vulnerability.
The commonly used \ 192.168.0.1 \ C $ is implemented using this IPC sharing.
Even if drive C is not shared, as long as you have users on this machine
So some machines block them to prevent attacks.
