Windows 8 client Preview (Consumer Preview)

The long-awaited Windows 8 client preview finally got ISO today. Let's take a look at the changes in CPE and DPE.

Installation started. It was a welcome page for fish.

In the second interface, the language time zone and keyboard settings are selected. Here, the English version is selected.

The Time Zone drop-down menu is the same as the previous development preview menu.

The keyboard selection and previous changes have taken place. Here we have added Microsoft's latest Pinyin input method, and some other changes. Select the first item here.

After clicking Next, click "Install now" to start installation.

Start Installation Steps

The Licese protocol must be accepted, otherwise you will know.

Because the test environment is brand new, you should choose custom installation instead of upgrade installation.

Here, create a partition.

Click OK.

The system automatically generates a recovery partition, which is the same as that of win7.

Start installation, decompress and copy the installation file to the partition.

After the installation is complete, customize the settings and enter the computer name. Here, the background color is selected.

Enter the computer name and click Next.

The next step is settings. I will select the Recommended settings because of the time, so we will not customize the settings. You can choose to customize the settings during your own installation.

Enter the user name and password.

Start the final settings.

Go to the welcome page of the system.

Prepare windows

Complete the installation and enter the new Win8 interface. Obviously, compared with the previous development preview page, some changes have taken place, and some new apps have been added, such as Xbox Live Games, Xbox Companion, Camera, SkyDrive, and Maps.

The change of the Start menu is different from the previous Start Menu.The following Start Menu (metro) preview is displayed when you move your cursor to the lower left corner.

In the Start (metro) interface, the following "Search and application" icon is added in the lower right corner.

How can I open the same "All Programs" as Windows 7?

Select "Pin to Start" to PIN the icon to the start metro interface:

On the desktop interface, move the mouse to the bottom right corner to bring up the "Search and application" interface.

On the desktop interface, move the mouse to the top. When the following "hand" icon appears, the interface can be reduced from the drop-down list.

Control Panel changes: click "Settings" or "windows" + I shortcut to bring up the following interface.
