Windows Azure configures virtual network connections for multiple sites

Through the previous article "Windows Azure Virtual network configuration (site to site)" We have established a site to site connection to the virtual network, after configuration some friends will have doubts: if you need to connect multiple Site, such as the need to connect to Beijing, How to configure the network of offices in Shanghai? Windows Azure supports multi-site configurations, but unfortunately it is not possible to configure directly through the management portal, which needs to follow these steps:

1. Export the network configuration file

Open the https://manage.windowsazure.com Windows Azure Management Portal

On the dashboard page of the virtual network, click Export to save the. xml file to Local.

2. Edit the network configuration file

Using the document Editing tool, open the downloaded XML file and add the Localnetworksite node:

3. Import the network configuration file

In the Windows Azure Management portal, click "New", "Network Service", "Virtual network", "Import Configuration" to upload the modified XML file to the Windows Azure Platform

4. Verifying the configuration

On the configuration page of the virtual network, we can see that the local network in the site-to-site connection settings appears as "multiple networks."

　　

View network connection status through PowerShell (because the device IP address of the two sites in this example is fictitious, the connection cannot succeed):
