The hdx,y is used to identify the partition to which the Kali installation image is extracted, X for the hard disk, starting with 0, for example, hd0 represents the first hard disk of the computer, and Y represents the partition where the image was extracted, such as hd0,1, which represents the second partition of the first hard disk. About the partitioning order is: Starting from the primary partition, the 1th to 4th primary partition ordinal is 0~3, and the logical partition starts from 4 (not affected by the number of primary partitions). For example, I unzipped the Kali installation file to the second logical partition of the hard drive, and I have only one primary partition and one extended partition on my hard drive, which is also written as root (hd0,5).

　　

3. Restart the computer to enter the installation program installation Kali.

4, after the installation is complete, boot boot repair.

Hdx,y for Kali's/boot partition, VMLINUZ-3.14-KALI1-AMD64 and INITRD.IMG-3.14-KALI1-AMD64 files are different according to the Kali version of the file name, it is best not to restart the computer after installation, enter/ Boot view and note the file names of the two files.
