When the company grows larger, there will be multiple branches or mergers and acquisitions of other companies, this time will involve a number of domains and staff work out of the situation, this will involve the user and the computer across the domain migration. To migrate across domains, we first need to establish a forest trust for both domains.
Environment Description:
Contoso.com domain: Windows Server 2008 R2
test.com domain: Windows Server 2012
First, establish a DNS secondary zone
1. Log on to the Windows 2012 domain, test.com, open DNS Manager, and select the domain name-> property.
2. Open the zone transfer option, check "Allow zone transfer", and add the address of the Windows 2008 Contoso domain Server in "allow only to the following servers."
3. Then log on to the contoso.com domain server, and also establish a zone transfer to test.com in DNS.
4. Back to test.com, create a new zone in the DNS forward lookup zone.
5. The New Zone Wizard selects the secondary zone. Next.
6. Enter the name of the contoso.com area.
7. Add the contoso.com server address to the primary DNS server.
8. Complete the Regional wizard establishment.
9. In the contoso.com domain, the same method is used to establish the test.com secondary area.
