Windows VMware installs file sharing for Ubuntu (Vm-tools)

Because of the need for work, recently used the vm-ware virtual machine, I use the configuration of Win7+vmware+ubuntu, I believe that many people have used a similar environment, I would like to say the file sharing problem, although there are many tutorials on the internet, but the feeling is not comprehensive, At least I got a couple of pieces together to fix the problem.

First, the need to install Vm-tools, this is relatively simple, directly borrow someone else's method to paste it out:

1. Install the tool. Let the virtual machine run in the window state, do not full screen, press Ctrl+alt let the mouse release. On the VMware menu bar, select the virtual machine/install Virtual machine tool (Vm/install VMware tools ...). Then switch to the guest operating system, Linux.
2. Mount the disc. Mount/dev/cdrom/mnt/cdrom
3. Execute the command. into the virtual disc, you can see there are two files, one is a compressed package, one for the RPM package. Run the RPM package installation directly, and the command line is available. RPM-UVH vmwaretools-Version number-version number. i386.rpm
4. When the above operation is complete, go to the/usr/bin directory and look for vmware-config-tools.pl. (The first time not running this pit is dead, and will need to reboot after running) find, run it.
5. All the way yes, until we install the C compiler to choose No.
6. Complete the configuration. If all goes well, an interface will appear, allowing you to choose the resolution of the current screen, of course, my kernel should be upgraded to the latest version, there will be some messages for you to confirm, you should confirm directly. Select a resolution. Reboot, then.

then need to install some tools, shipped line sudo  apt-get  install open-vm-dkms;

finally run sudo  mount  -t  vmhgfs  .host://mnt/hgfs
