Installation Preparation

1. Download Rubyinstaller and development Kit, or use the RAILSFTW to easily take care of installation under Windows.
2. Download MySQL
3. Download Mysql-connector-c-noinstall-6.0.2-win32.zip
4. Download Redmine

Execute Devkit-tdm-32-4.5.2-20111229-1559-sfx.exe, extract to: C:\DevKit

Win+r, input cmd, enter, CD C:\DevKit

3. Install MySQL

There is nothing to say, the next installation can be.

4. Add MySQL driver files to Ruby

Unzip the Mysql-connector-c-noinstall-6.0.2-win32.zip and copy the Libmysql.dll from the Lib directory into the C:\Ruby193\bin.

5. Installing Redmine

Redmine decompression, the path is best not to include Chinese.

Precautions

• Only windows and MySQL configuration can be noted during the configuration process.
• Since Rmagick is not yet installed, the second step is to use the following command:

Troubleshooting Slow access to Redmine

After starting the Web site, access is slow, using the Gem install mongrel to install the mongrel server. Modify the Gemfile file in the Redmine directory, add the gem "Mongrel", "~> 1.2.0.pre2".

You can then start redmine with the Ruby Script/rails server MONGREL-E production.
