Windows R2 Sysprep failed

Sysprep failed on a Windows 2008r2 server with the following error: "A fatal error occurred while trying to Sysprepthe" system does Sysprep by default number of times It's three times, and it's going to report the error above.

Here's how to fix it:


1) hkey_local_machine\system\setup\status\sysprepstatus\
Generalizationstate 7



2) Run as Administrator
Msdtc-uninstall
Msdtc-install


3) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Nt\currentversion\softwareprotectionplatform\


SkipRearm to 1


4) Disable the NIC


5) Run Sysprep again
