Windows Server R2, Auto power off every time

The previous time in the Exchange 2010 test, because the Windows Server R2 trial expires, two hours after the boot will automatically shut down, but I do not want to reload the system, plus I may need to reload a lot of things, including DNS, AD and so on. So in the search under the Internet to see if there is a solution, but found a half-day did not find useful. So I had to find my own way. We know that the system relies on SLMs to detect the activation, and the boot two hours shutdown. But this service can not be disabled and can not be deactivated, can only end the process, but when the process is over, the system will be in 1 minutes after the shutdown, I think, can cancel 1 minutes after the automatic shutdown, tried, can be canceled.

Save the following as a. bat file, and when you turn it on, right-click the file and run as an administrator so that the system does not shut down automatically.

taskkill/f/im Wlms.exe

Ping-n 4 127.0.0.1

Shutdown-a

Note: I use the system is Windows Server R2 x64, in other versions have not tried, do not know whether it is useful.

Solve WINDOWS R2 Automatic Shutdown Method (turn):

Cause: Find the Windows Licensing monitoring service

It's the service that's haunting.

This service is the Windows software license status.

Shutting down the system using the C:\Windows\system32\wlms\wlms.exe program

The log shows that he turned off the power for you.

But this R2 is already activated, why this software license to pass.

Some say that the process is over, but the system shuts down at the end. Some people say that with Taskkill, Explorer.exe off, and then use the system to start the Explorer.exe, you can disable the service.

I've tried, no.

I also tried to modify the note list, to disable the service, but none, because the relevant permissions to use the system user to operate, administrator level of users is not operational.

What to do? Right is the only way.

Method 1, the user refers to the system login, this I did not try;

Method 2, the right to use the system user to execute Regedit.exe, and then modify the Wlsms service item, the startup type from 02 (automatic) to 04 (disabled), and modify the loaded EXE location, so that Windows R2 boot will not load the authentication service.

Related tools: PSTOOLS, on-line download;

Command format: pstools\psexec.exe-d-i-s Regedit.exe, the registry operation into the privileged mode, whatever the operation.

Registry key:

[Hkey_local_machine\system\currentcontrolset\services\wlms]
