Windows Vista is the first win-win product that we have come into contact. This system has been greatly changed, especially for the Windows Vista Telnet function, which makes some general settings very difficult to find. So here I encountered a problem. When I used Windows Vista for the first time, I tried to use Windows's own Telnet client to log on to BBS, but I found an error. Previously, the Telnet function in Windows Vista was hidden. You must manually activate it to use the Telnet client normally.
To enable Windows Vista Telnet, follow these steps:
1. Open the control panel;
2. Select "classic view" on the left and select "programs and functions" on the right ";
3. In the displayed "programs and functions" window, click "enable or disable Windows functions" on the left ";
4. Select "Telnet client" in the pop-up "Windows functions" window, as shown in );
5. Exit after confirmation. Windows automatically starts configuration activation;
6. Enter "telnet" in the "Start search" box. The remote Windows Vista Telnet appears again!
In fact, we have been using the Term tool to log on to BBS, but we want to see if the Telnet client of Windows Vista has been changed. Unfortunately, it is no different from Windows XP.
As shown in the figure, many components of Windows are hidden by default, such as IISInternet Information Service) the optional TabletPC components can be enabled or disabled as above. Of course, with the different Vista versions, the user-visible components are not exactly the same .)
