Windows XP language bar missing

I used the input method icon on the WINXP task bar. I opened the text service and the input language dialog box, but the language bar button was gray. I used the gray button. Ke Xing went in and hooked it on the desktop. the language bar is displayed, but Click OK to open it again. I found my changes are not saved. What should I do?
First open the text service

3. Click the "advanced" tab.
4. Select the "Disable advanced text service" check box to remove the hooks.

To minimize the language bar to the taskbar, right-click the language icon on the taskbar, and click "set". Select the input method you want to add.
