Wiring and setting of the switch to the wireless router

Wiring method: The switch next line connects the LAN port of the wireless broadband router (note not the WAN port), and the D,e desktop computer is also connected to a LAN port without a line. At this point the wireless router actually acts like a hub. Wireless broadband routers typically have 1 WAN ports, which are used to connect to the Internet interface and 4 LAN ports, which can be connected to a computer by a network cable. In the environment described in this article, the WAN port is basically not functioning.

Setting method: 1. Manually set the IP address of computer D and E to 192.168.1.x respectively, network connection-Local connection-Properties-General-internet Protocol-Use the following IP address, IP address: 192.168.1.30 (for example) Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0. Default gateway: 192.168.1.1 Use the following DNS server address, preferred DNS server: 192.168.1.1 Alternate DNS server: not filled in. After Setup, click OK to save.

2. The setting of the notebook f,g is similar, the only difference is that we now configure the wireless card, open the network connection-Wireless network connection (non-local connection)-Properties-General-internet Protocol-Use the following IP address, IP address: 192.168.1.37 (for example) Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0. Default gateway: 192.168.1.1 Use the following DNS server address, preferred DNS server: 192.168.1.1 Alternate DNS server: not filled in. After Setup, click OK to save.

Note: The IP address cannot be duplicated. If Computer d is set to 192.168.1.30,e to 192.168.1.31, then f,g can only be set to other, such as 192.168.1.37,g for 192.168.1.39.
