First step: Install the System check the desktop.

If not installed:

1. First install and download the graphical interface gnome
Yum Groupinstall "Desktop"
Yum groupinstall "X window System"
Yum Groupinstall "Chinese support" (optional)

2, how to know whether to install the graphical interface?

1) [[email protected] ~]# Rpm-qa | Grep-i xorg-x11

There will be a lot of package output at this time.

2) Yum Groupinstall "Desktop"

Yum groupinstall "X window System"

Note Do not add the-y parameter to see if the graphics package is installed.

3) StartX--if installed, it can be started.

Step two: Log in to the Linux host and modify the configuration.

1) [[email protected] ~]# cat/etc/gdm/custom.conf

[Security]

Allowroot=true

Allowremoteroot=true//If running root login

[XDMCP]

port=177//GDM Allow 177 port access

2) Vim/etc/inittab

ID: 5 : Initdefault: //3 to 5

3) Run Port 177 If the firewall is turned on

-A input-m state--state new-m udp-p UDP--dport 177-j ACCEPT

When you are done saving, restart the firewall services service iptables restart

4) Turn off SELinux

5) Restarting the GDM service

[[Email protected] ~] #gdm-restart

If the above statement does not indicate no/usr/sbin/gdm-restart file, it doesn't matter, we can restart the Linux server.

Step Three: Configure the client, connect.
