Yibaodian article -- how to manage distribution groups

If an enterprise sends an email to multiple email addresses, users often repeatedly add Email recipients when sending the email. If you need to repeatedly send emails to the same group of people every day, this operation will make the user very angry, even bored, and affect work efficiency. You can use the exchange recipient group to solve this problem and provide the group mail function for users.

Exchangeserver 2013 is similar to earlier versions. It supports mail-enabled universal distribution groups, mail-enabled universal security groups, and dynamic distribution groups.

This section briefly describes how to enable the mail's general distribution group concept. First, this object is a distribution group object in the Active Directory. Its range is "common" and cannot be "local" or "Global". Second, you must enable mail to serve as the recipient of exchange. If only the common distribution group cannot be the recipient of exchange, because from the perspective of the Active Directory object, the general distribution group that enables mail cannot be granted the active directory permission, so this type of group is more extensive for sending mails to the exchange group. That is to say, we recommend that you create a "Distribution Group" and enable the mail function if you only need to send emails to the group, instead of using a "security group ".

1. Manage distribution groups through EAC

1. Access https: // exchange-server (FQDN)/ECP through IE to open EAC. In the exchange management center window, click "recipients" in the navigation bar, select "group" in the navigation bar of the right window, click "+", and select "Distribution Group" from the drop-down menu ". 650) This. width = 650; "Title =" 1.png" alt = "wkiom1oolwcz5zz_aafmkg81vug322.jpg" src = "http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M02/30/88/wKiom1OoLwCz5zZ_AAFmKg81Vug322.jpg"/>

2. In the new distribution group window, define the "display name" and "alias" of the Distribution Group ". Like a user's mailbox, the "alias" directly affects the mail address of the Distribution Group.

650) This. width = 650; "Title =" 2.png" alt = "wkiol1oolu7ihcxlaairgi5iirg233.jpg" src = "http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M02/30/88/wKioL1OoLu7ihcxlAAIrGi5Iirg233.jpg"/>

You can select "add users to this group to group members" so that the creator can also receive emails after the group receives emails. In addition, you can also set whether users can join or exit the distribution group as needed. By default, it is set to "open", that is, users can freely join and exit the distribution group.

3. You can double-click a configured Distribution Group in EAC to manage existing distribution groups. On the "General" tab of its properties page, you can redefine "display name" and "alias ". You can also determine whether to display the distribution group in the address list.

650) This. width = 650; "Title =" 8.png" alt = "wKioL1OoLv-AML14AAIFuppmWDo043.jpg" src = "http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M02/30/88/wKioL1OoLv-AML14AAIFuppmWDo043.jpg"/>

4. You can use the ownership tab to define the owner of the Distribution Group.

650) This. width = 650; "Title =" 9.png" alt = "wkiom1oolzyhjm0naahihobdttw566.jpg" src = "http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M01/30/88/wKiom1OoLzyhJM0NAAHIHObdttw566.jpg"/>

5. The key is to add the recipient to the member list of the distribution group if you want to send emails by group. That is, you can send an email to the distribution group email address, and the recipient in the member list can receive the email.

650) This. width = 650; "Title =" 10.png" alt = "wkiom1ool0bdczkvaalf6_l2rx4160.jpg" src = "http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M01/30/88/wKiom1OoL0bDCZKvAALF6_L2RX4160.jpg"/>

6. To modify the "open"/"close" attribute of the distribution group, you can set it on the "member identity approval" tab.

650) This. width = 650; "Title =" 11.png" alt = "wkiol1oolyuix59paaiuqapsaws003.jpg" src = "http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M00/30/88/wKioL1OoLyuix59pAAIUQapSaWs003.jpg"/>

7. Restrict the sender of mails that can be sent to the Distribution Group. By default, it is limited to all senders in the Organization. Of course, you can also specify that you can only receive mails from a certain number of senders, or receive mails outside the Organization.

650) This. width = 650; "Title =" 12.png" alt = "wkiom1ool2wadjrdaajfsksteem779.jpg" src = "http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M00/30/88/wKiom1OoL2WAdJrDAAJfsKstEEM779.jpg"/>

8. In addition, due to mass mailing, an email is often very influential. Therefore, you can specify whether the emails sent to the Distribution Group need to be reviewed based on the enterprise administration policy. If enabled, ONLY emails that have been reviewed can be sent to the recipient email address in the member list. The review function is disabled by default.

650) This. width = 650; "Title =" 13.png" alt = "wkiol1ool6dzsidmaajwwplkupg911.jpg" src = "http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M01/30/88/wKioL1OoL6DzSidMAAJWWpLkUpg911.jpg"/>

9. You can also add, delete, and modify the email address of the Distribution Group through "email options.

650) This. width = 650; "Title =" 14.png" alt = "wKioL1OoL23g-YdqAANQatvCELs162.jpg" src = "http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M00/30/88/wKioL1OoL23g-YdqAANQatvCELs162.jpg"/>

Note that if the email address policy is enabled to automatically update the email address, modifying the primary email address (that is, the addresses displayed in the blacklist) will not take effect.

10. You can create a prompt when someone sends an email to the Distribution Group. However, this prompt is restricted by the client. Only the mapi and OWA clients can see it. Other clients, such as SMTP and POP3 clients, cannot be displayed.

650) This. width = 650; "Title =" 15.png" alt = "wkiol1ool72wjzusaahidr9ovxi747.jpg" src = "http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M02/30/88/wKioL1OoL72wJZuSAAHidr9ovXI747.jpg"/>

11. In addition, if you need to send an email in the name of a group, you can use "group delegate" to determine the "sending method" and "representative sending ". The difference between the two is that if a user is granted the "sending method" permission, it represents the emails sent by the Group, which is the distribution group address in the sender's address bar. If you only have the "send" permission, it indicates that the Group sends the email as "XXX indicates YYY group.

650) This. width = 650; "Title =" 16.png" alt = "wkiom1ool_ydcpn0aaivqiip4e8677.jpg" src = "http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M01/30/89/wKiom1OoL_yDcPN0AAIVqIIp4e8677.jpg"/>

2. Manage distribution groups through EMS

1. You can useNew-distributiongroupCreate a distribution group. For example, create a new distribution group "It admin" and set it to "open.

New-distributiongroup-name "It admin"-alias itadmin-memberjoinrestriction open

650) This. width = 650; "Title =" 3.png" alt = "wkiol1oomecxj1__aaczd3o5lp4940.jpg" src = "http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M01/30/88/wKioL1OoMECxj3G_AACZD3o5Lp4940.jpg"/>

2. Modify the primary email address and add a secondary email address to it. To modify the Master Address, you must disable the email address policy to automatically update the email address. In addition, the primary address is expressed in upper case "SMTP" and the secondary address is expressed in lower case "SMTP.

Set-distributiongroup "It admin"-emailaddressessmtp: [email protected], SMTP: [email protected]-emailaddresspolicyenabled $ false

650) This. width = 650; "Title =" 6.png" alt = "wKioL1OoMFjx1WWeAAEFao9oe-A496.jpg" src = "http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M00/30/88/wKioL1OoMFjx1WWeAAEFao9oe-A496.jpg"/>

Note the following three points:

I. You must disable the email address policy to automatically update the email address function before the modification of the Master Address takes effect;

If this option is not disabled, the following alarm is triggered:

650) This. width = 650; "Title =" 4.png" alt = "wkiol1oomgety0zlaaem3buehjg651.jpg" src = "http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M02/30/88/wKioL1OoMGeTy0zlAAEM3buEhJg651.jpg"/>

The result is that the existing primary address still exists, and the primary address to be set will exist as a secondary address in the list:

650) This. width = 650; "Title =" 5.png" alt = "wkiom1oomksifxkkaacn9blttdo627.jpg" src = "http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M00/30/89/wKiom1OoMKSifxKkAACN9bltTdo627.jpg"/>

Ii. After successful modification, if the email address policy is enabled to automatically update the email address, the Master Address will still be reset to the default setting, the new primary address is automatically changed to a secondary address;

650) This. width = 650; "Title =" 7.png" alt = "wkiom1ooml7yjrxfaaekp1scbem306.jpg" src = "http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M01/30/89/wKiom1OoML7yjrXFAAEKp1sCBEM306.jpg"/>

Iii. If this operation takes effect, the effect is to overwrite the existing settings.

3. For mailbox users, you can limit the maximum number of mails to receive and send. As a distribution group, you can still configure the maximum number of mails to receive and the maximum number of mails to be sent. By default, these two values are not restricted. Pass:

Get-distributiongroup "It admin" | FL maxsendsize, maxreceivesize

650) This. width = 650; "Title =" 17.png" alt = "wkiol1oommfx6izgaabwmznxwio1_jpg" src = "http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M01/30/88/wKioL1OoMMfx6IzgAABwmZNXwio255.jpg"/>

It can be confirmed that the current distribution group can receive and be represented by the maximum number of emails sent.

To modify these values, you can run the following command:

Set-distributiongroup "It admin"-maxsendsize 10 MB-maxreceivesize 10 MB

.

650) This. width = 650; "Title =" 18.png" alt = "wkiol1oomngdksz5aae5fuyghi0730.jpg" src = "http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M00/30/88/wKioL1OoMNGDksZ5AAE5FuYGHI0730.jpg"/>

Of course, if you need to set the mail size limit for all distribution groups in batches, you can use:

Get-distributiongroup-resultsize unlimited-filter {(recipienttypedetails-EQ 'mailuniversaldistributiongroup')} | set-distributiongroup-maxsendsize 10mb-maxreceivesize 10 MB

650) This. width = 650; "Title =" 19.png" alt = "wKiom1OoMQeSg-S1AAHoJnCFcmc591.jpg" src = "http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M02/30/89/wKiom1OoMQeSg-S1AAHoJnCFcmc591.jpg"/>

3. the user adds a distribution group through the client

1. log on through OWA, switch to the user option settings page, go to "group", and click "add to group. Search for the group to be added in "all groups" and double-click the group;

650) This. width = 650; "Title =" Your png" alt = "wKioL1OoMOGAdAyxAAUQ9S-K5j8366.jpg" src = "http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M01/30/88/wKioL1OoMOGAdAyxAAUQ9S-K5j8366.jpg"/>

2. In the "Distribution Group" attribute window, the "membership request" type is displayed. If it is "the request has been automatically approved ." Then, click "join" and immediately become a member of the group.
