You can also play ghost_windowsxp under Windows

The advent of ghost has brought us great convenience, and it has many convenient and practical uses besides backup and recovery system. But in the face of the full screen of the English to operate, it really makes people a bit uneasy, a little careless will cause irreparable damage! Quickly use the Ghostgo bar, it will operate in DOS under the English ghost to the familiar Windows Chinese environment operation. Set up each task that you want to perform: Back up the system, restore the system, copy the hard disk, replicate the partitions, and more. Task settings are also extremely simple, all you have to do is to light a few mouse. Ghostgo supports FAT16, FAT32, and NTFS partitions, and supports multiple hard disk systems. The new Automatic Settings feature automatically identifies partition locations, formats, and capacities, automatically creating backup and recovery tasks, and enables you to make and recover system backups faster and more securely for your current computer.

The first time you use Ghostgo, you need to determine the ghost installation directory so that you can use Ghostgo normally. There are six options on the main interface of the GHOSTGO (Figure 1).

The automatic setting is relatively simple (Figure 2), selecting the partition to back up and where to place the backup file, and then clicking Next will automatically determine the partition format and the location of the partition. If the partition you want to back up has more space than is left over the partition where you want to save the backup file, it prompts you.

Tip: This feature only supports single hard disk systems, please do not use this feature on multiple hard disk systems.

　　 Detailed setup

Copying the hard drive, copying partitions, making image files, and recovering image files (Figure 3) in the detailed settings, the entire step is the Chinese interface, you can follow the instructions above. You can also compress the image files to save disk space.
If there is important content in the image being made, we can also encrypt the image so that only the password is known for image recovery (see Figure 4).
　　

If the image file is too large, we can also split the image file (Figure 5) so that the image file can be saved separately. We can also set some specific parameters of ghost, such as shielding some errors occurred, so as to better image production.


Finally, choose to complete the data backup is back to the DOS interface or restart the computer, according to their actual needs to choose. After you have chosen, put the floppy disk in the floppy drive, and then click the "OK" button, so Ghostgo will automatically set up the Startup disk. Task set up, the task to create a floppy disk, folder or CD-ROM, use it to boot the system, in the presence of Chinese task information, press the "Y" button, so the system will automatically follow our settings to automatically execute.

You can also use the Task Template feature (Figure 6) to quickly create a preset task if you feel you have trouble setting up the details. And can also make a good template to friends, the other party simply select the template can be automatically operated, very simple.
　　
The extension of the task template file is GGT, and all task template files are saved under the template folder in the Ghostgo run directory. When you select a task template, it prompts you to modify the task template to meet your requirements. If you do not need to modify, select No to create directly. If you need to modify, select "Yes" to enter the detailed Setup page for this task template, and then go down again as the "Detailed settings" feature.

　　 Add pure dos boot to Windows 2000/xp/2003 　　

Most of the time, we still need to boot to Dos at boot time, but Windows 2000/xp/2003 and other operating systems do not support DOS boot mode. We can add a pure DOS boot mode to these operating systems using the "virtual floppy" feature.

Select the "Virtual floppy" option, then click "Next" (Figure 7), adjust the System boot menu wait for the selected time, select the system boot information file to configure (if the file does not exist, you cannot create a virtual floppy, for XP, it is C:\ Boot.ini), and then choose to save the virtual floppy file to the hard drive location. Finally, click Next to start creating the virtual floppy.
　　
The "Start Ghostgo virtual Floppy" item will be available in the System boot menu that is displayed later at computer startup. Select it to boot to the DOS system.

Tip: If you select the "Add in boot Menu" Boot from CD feature option, you can boot the system from the CD without changing the BIOS settings. Of course, as with the "virtual floppy" method, it is also selected in the Boot menu. To remove these startup features, simply select the "Remove virtual Floppy feature" or "Remove Boot from CD".
