In order to perform virtual machine migration in a cloud computing environment, Xen Migration uses a comparison between passing a page bitmap and skipping a page bitmap to determine whether the page is retransmission. A memory optimization algorithm based on AR model is proposed for the problem of multiple retransmission to increase the network transmission overhead for page bitmap comparisons The algorithm predicts the next time the memory page is modified based on the memory page modification interval of all records. Retransmission occurs when the next modification time is greater than a threshold. The experimental results show that the memory optimization algorithm based on AR model shortens the time of virtual machine migration, and reduces the network overhead of virtual machine migration. The network bandwidth application of other virtual machines on the same server is ensured.
