The 15th session of China International high-tech fair--a new generation of http://www.aliyun.com/zixun/aggregation/14054.html "> Information Technology Summit 17th at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center. Dalberg, President of the Asia Cloud Computing Association, said cloud computing was as powerful as the revolution in mobile devices. In the next few years, cloud computing will bring 14 million jobs in 2015, about 10 million of which are in China. We have to look at 1.1 trillion of the revenue generated by cloud computing, and in Europe, 2% of GDP is expected to come from cloud computing innovation by 2020. So, looking at the fundamentals, cloud computing has many opportunities to promote the development of our country.
Because of the growing interest in cloud computing in various countries, China has invested heavily to promote the development of cloud computing. There are, of course, many challenges, especially in the Asian region, where there are many different markets, and there are many different regulatory models. There are also many people who are not very clear about the concept of cloud, and people are also concerned about security and privacy, as well as integration.
Dalberg says the Asia Cloud Computing Association has created a cloud-storage index that will be published in December to see how the cloud is stored. Data storage also has an impact on cloud computing in Asia, including China, and they also create a range of tools to provide existing services in the marketplace. The same associations and governments, together with stakeholders, are working to create a better environment. The association ultimately wants to create trust, and the mechanism of the association is cloud computing.
Dalberg also mentioned that SMEs drive the development of the whole region, including China. China's small and medium-sized enterprises are bigger than others, and 60% of GDP is likely to come from small and medium-sized enterprises, or even more than 99% of jobs are from Chinese companies. What challenges do Chinese companies face when they adopt cloud computing? Because they are also natural teams, they should put a lot of hardware into the infrastructure, but they can quickly turn to the cloud. Since SMEs also have a lot of hesitation, we have created SME resource centers to see how to help them build this sense of price or content licensing, but also to work with the government. Because the government also wants to see SMEs can use this technology to become internationally competitive enterprises. We also work closely with the government in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the government, which already have these projects. We hope that China will also develop in this respect.
