Xinhua Beijing, April 23 (Xinhua Jiang Rui, Wang) The People's Bank of China Investigation and Statistics Division issued a report of 23rd, said that the first quarter of this year, the nominal growth rate of Chinese consumption remained stable, real growth has fallen, food and housing prices are the main factor in the formation of this situation. The report, entitled "Analysis of China's macroeconomic situation in the first quarter of 2010", noted that China's total retail sales of consumer goods rose 17.9% in nominal terms in the first quarter, up 1.3% from the previous quarter, up 2.9% from a year earlier, and 5.5% per cent on a month-on-month basis, Increased by 2.4% over the last quarter. Excluding the price factor, the total retail sales of consumer goods rose by 15.4%, a 1% lower than the previous quarter, and a 0.5% lower than a year earlier. Nominal price refers to the price of a direct currency, and the actual price usually refers to the price to revise the impact of inflation, taking into account factors such as season and purchasing power. The central bank report argues that the gap between real and nominal growth reflects the impact of rising prices in recent months. China's CPI rose 2.2% in the first quarter, up 2.8% from a year earlier, with new price hikes pushing the CPI up 1.3%. CPI Rose 2.4% in March, 0.3% per cent lower than last month; The fall in the chain is related to the seasonal factors. The report found that the first quarter of the impact on the CPI is still food prices. Food prices rose 5.1% per cent year-on-year, boosting CPI by 1.7%, with food prices up 9.5% per cent year-on-year, boosting CPI by 0.3%. Non-food prices, housing prices rose faster, up 2.9% per cent year-on-year, driving CPI Rose 0.4%. In addition, the report shows that China's urban consumption has grown faster than the countryside this year, but the urban-rural gap narrowed in March. In the first quarter, urban consumption grew by 18.4%, real growth was 16.1%, rural consumption grew by 15.4%, and 12.5% in real terms.
