Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi: "G2" is not based on any reference to the Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi said in a recent interview with the Japanese Broadcasting Association in Tokyo November 30, China has made it clear that it does not agree with G2 's formulation. China advocates equality between nations, and there is no basis for G2 's reference. The official website of the Chinese Foreign Ministry today published the transcript of the interview. In response to reporters ' questions, Yang Jiechi said China had made it clear that it did not agree with G2 's formulation. China and the United States also understand this point. This is mainly because China is a developing country with a large population and a weak foundation, and there are many things to deal with domestically. The world's business is to be discussed. We have always advocated a multipolar world that supports democratization of international relations and multilateralism. China attaches great importance to cooperation with the United States, as well as with Japan, Russia, India and the European Union. Yang said that in the face of the impact of the international financial crisis, China, together with the countries concerned, has made positive efforts for the development of China and the world economy. China has participated actively in the three financial summits of Washington, London and Pittsburg, and has played an active role in the group of 20 as an important platform to govern the global economy. China supports the reform of the international financial system, expanding the representation and voice of developing countries, and advocating that countries help African countries achieve the Millennium Development Goals. Yang said that China-US relations have made new progress in recent years. President Obama's visit to China has met with Chinese leaders and exchanged views on how to further develop China-US relations and strengthen cooperation in a wide range of areas. The two sides agreed to jointly build a positive, cooperative and comprehensive Sino-US relationship in the 21st century, and take concrete actions to steadily build a partnership to address common challenges and contribute to world peace, stability and development. China is an important peaceful force in the world and has made an important contribution to the maintenance of world peace. China is willing to work with the United States and other countries, including Japan, to build a harmonious world.
