Cloud storage Service Provider Syncplicity announced today that it has developed new file-sharing capabilities for smartphones and tablets on the Android operating system.

Syncplicity users can get or share files on their PCs or Mac machines, while using cloud applications such as Google Docs﹑salesforce and SharePoint on some native applications such as Android 2.x systems.

Syncplicity's new service is similar to Dropbox's, but "more suited to" working in a team environment, Syncplicity's chief marketing officer, Jeff Schultz, told us.

Syncplicity offers 3 different types of Use accounts: a free account with 2GB of storage, such accounts for users with two computing devices, and a personal account that provides 50GB storage space for users with up to three devices. Users can share files with others via the Android interface, with unlimited file sizes. Users do not necessarily have syncplicity accounts, and file transfers can be done directly between devices in the Android system without having to connect to the computer. This process can be done directly or through a VPN network.

And because the new service supports tablets that use the Android operating system, it also supports a new Kindle, Fire,schultz said.
