Whether a user runs a virtual server under the Windows 7 operating system or manages a virtual server under the Windows 7 operating system, you need to use the Virtual Server Management Web site under the IE8 browser. According to foreign media reports, Microsoft Australia website recently began to promote IE8 browser, recommended IE6 users to upgrade as soon as possible.

"People don't drink milk 9 years ago, so why use a browser 9 years ago?" The website said on its website. IE6 was launched as early as 2001 and was safe. But with the development of Internet, the security function of IE6 is outdated. ”

Microsoft also said that the NSS laboratory survey results showed that IE8 can withstand 85% of social malware, while Firefox 3 and Safari 4 can withstand 29%, while Google Chrome can only withstand 17%.

Research company NET applications data shows that the current IE6 global market share is 17.6%.

In addition, users need to pay attention to other items:

1. Use IE8 in compatible mode

If the user does not use IE8 in compatible mode, the Drop-down menu bar is found to be unavailable and the browser can only be used offline, not linked to the Web site. In order for IE8 to be in compatible mode, the user can do the following: Click the IE8 Tool menu and choose compatible Visual settings (Compatibility View setting). Here the user can add the virtual Server Uniform Resource Locator (URL, that is, web address).

2. Open IE menu option

The Virtual Server host key (the ALT key to the right of the keyboard) causes the IE browser menu bar to eject and cause the user interface to wobble every time the user releases the mouse from the virtual service machine. Users can resolve this problem by configuring the IE menu bar properties to be permanently displayed. The specific steps are: Select "View" in IE Explorer Bar, select "Toolbar" and select "Menu bar".

3. Remove the authentication hint that pops up every time you link to a virtual machine: There are two ways to solve this problem

The first method: when the virtual Server site is joined to the trusted site ranks and enabled, the steps are:

Open IE toolbar menu > select Internet Options > Switch to Safe Mode (security) > select Trust site (Trusted sites) option > click Site ( Sites) > enter the virtual server address in the pop-up dialog box and click "Add" (here to remind the user, need to "require all sites in this area to provide verification" option to remove) > click "Close" > click "Custom Level" > When you pull the option cell to the bottom, you will find the user authentication option > select "Automatically use current username and password" > click "Apply"

The second method: Add the virtual Server site to the local area network site by:

Open IE toolbar menu > select Internet Options > Switch to Safe Mode (Security) > select the Local area network (LAN) > click Site ( Sites) "> Select advanced Options (Advanced) > enter the virtual server address in the pop-up dialog box and click" Add "> click" Close "

Precautions:

If a user is running a virtual server while modifying the IE8 option, the computer will have an endless loop of Reminders dialog boxes: "Do you specify a site that is already in the Trusted sites zone and move it into the local Internet area?" When the user clicks Yes, the dialog box will appear here. At this point, the user checks the Trusted sites area and discovers that the virtual server site is not in the zone. The solution to this problem is to enter the Windows 7 user interface as an administrator and repeat the actions listed above.
