To create a "final resource" for all open web technologies, Google, Apple, Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, Nokia, Adobe, Facebook, Mozilla and Opera have joined together in the World Wide Web Consortium and will launch a new Web site called the Web platform.
The site will serve as a publishing site for related resources, including HTML 5, CSS3, and other web standards, providing some technical demonstrations and techniques for web development. In addition, the Web site will provide standardized process information for certain technologies and cross-browser execution.
The site will be in the form of a wiki, allowing staff representatives from each member company to add their own information to contribute to the site. The project has been funded and has become a dedicated team to maintain.
All documents on the site have been licensed in the form of "Creative Commons" (Creative Commons), the initial content will be provided by member companies, and Web site users are encouraged to share their content.
