On the other hand, 48-inch cabinets are becoming more and more popular, because the size of the equipment and cable volume is also growing, they are designed for very deep hardware, need more front-end space, the best way is to build three floors (or 6 feet) wide cold channel, for more airflow to provide space for refrigeration, You can also use the two layouts shown in Figure 2, but you can only save 2 feet per 38 feet, so there's no need to do that unless your data center is very large.

One of the most important aspects of floor layout is to determine its best position in the room floor grid, the data center designers will usually on the construction drawings with some fixed points as reference point of the elevated floor, such as centerline, but this may not be the most efficient use of space design, on the contrary, It is more practical to plan the cabinet depth and aisle width based on the floor grid, deploy the device on the grid, then adjust the entire plan and the floor grid to achieve the best aisle spacing, and you may even be able to make room for the rooms to install a row of cabinets.

For cabinets, cable tray, lighting, air-conditioning and piping, electric busbar or wire pipe in a room, whether it is from the elevated floor from the beginning or the height of the floor grid size, this is very important, elevated floor grids should be in advance (in the construction industry is called the site conditions), In order to avoid the actual construction of the size deviation, will not cause the related component dislocation, for example, if the wall moved a few inches, everything in the room to follow its move to remain aligned.
