The value of virtualization strategy is increasing rapidly

The findings suggest that China's virtualization market is evolving from "acceptance" to "universal". Of the 683 end-users surveyed, 40.8% per cent said they had implemented virtualization, which is still a large distance from the deployment of virtualization in nearly 80% of companies in the US and Europe. Virtualization is gradually becoming an enterprise's strategy to improve it efficiency. 24.5% of respondents said "virtualization has a huge impact on our IT strategy, we migrate most applications and data to virtualized platforms", and 57.2% of respondents said they would migrate some applications to virtualized environments. In the next 24 months, China's virtualization market growth rate far higher than the virtual mature European and American markets. 21.1% per cent of respondents said they were assessing virtualization and would complete virtualized deployments over the next 12 months, while 27.2% per cent considered deploying virtualization for the next 12-24 months.

The level of virtualization is rapidly increasing

For users who have already deployed virtualization, the increased level of virtualization will stimulate the need for virtualization-related technologies. Specifically, technology upgrades support production applications (including business-critical load virtualization). In the survey, 32.4% per cent of respondents said that virtualization was already being used in production and testing environments, and 25.8% per cent of respondents were considering virtualization in production applications including business-critical workloads. In order to meet the virtualization maturity and virtualization evolution process upgrades, users improve it resource deployment efficiency and centralized transparency management capabilities.

Enterprise-level Leadership virtualization Maturity

From the virtualization penetration and virtualization level of different scale enterprises, enterprise-level users are higher than midrange and SME. More than half of the enterprise-class users who participate in the survey have already deployed virtualization; more than 40% per cent of the enterprise-level users are virtualized for production environments; more than 30% per cent of enterprise-level users consider virtualization for production applications that include business-critical workloads. Mid-end users (500-1000) the fastest growth of virtualization in the next December

In the next 12 months the virtualization of the mid-tier market is growing fastest. The deployment ratio of midrange users over the next 12 months (27.5%) is higher than that of large scale enterprises (about 15.5%), Enterprise (22.5%), and SME (20.7%) users. At the same time, midrange users have a higher proportion of virtual machine densities (the number of virtual machines running on a physical server) and more server virtualization for tier one and two-tier databases than in other segments. In addition, the Chinese market (especially enterprise-level) it tiered management (by server, network, storage, etc.) structure, is to limit the user production applications and business critical load virtualization is an important impediment. Another major challenge for virtualization is the large number of applications running on built-in systems or dedicated hardware that do not support virtualization. To avoid increased management complexity in virtualized deployments, users need a management platform that can manage both physical and virtual environments in a unified environment.

Virtualization for servers, networks, storage requirements

On the server, storage and network virtualization requirements survey results show that 40.5% of respondents said server virtualization drives the need for higher configuration servers (CPU, memory, high availability, low latency, and remote and intelligent management capabilities). The network also plays a decisive role in the performance and security of virtualization applications. How to ensure the deployment efficiency of a large number of virtual machine network resources and the network resources needed for dynamic configuration of virtual machines, how to ensure the network performance and security of the virtual machine migration process is the key to the user to evaluate the virtualization network. Half of the respondents said that there was already storage to meet the needs of virtualization. 1/3 of respondents said storage does not meet virtualization needs. Two important considerations for determining whether storage meets current or future virtualization requirements are (1) the virtualization phase and future plans of the Enterprise, and (2) existing storage architectures and technologies. In the test and development environment virtualization, storage performance requirements are much lower than the production Application Virtualization environment, enterprise-class storage can basically meet the requirements. In the production application virtualization process, the dynamic configuration capacity of traditional storage architectures, parallel processing capabilities, and the performance of mixed load have certain limitations, users need innovative storage architecture to meet the performance of virtualized production applications stability, security, business continuity requirements. Private Cloud strong growth

In the virtualization and private cloud computing correlation survey, 74% of respondents considered virtualization to be the basis for implementing a private cloud. The Chinese market's acceptance of the private cloud (66.1%) is far higher than the mixed cloud (22..5%) and the public Cloud (11.4%). Currently, 12.6% of the respondents said they had completed a private cloud deployment. In the next 24 months, China's private cloud will be a leap-forward development. Surveys show that 32.9% of respondents will deploy private clouds over the next 12 months, and 32.1% will deploy private clouds over the next 12-24 months.
