Dell releases POWEREDGEC series new servers

A new series of server products designed for a large cloud computing environment was released by Dell in Wednesday, according to foreign media reports. Dell says the new PowerEdge C-Series server product's functionality is based on its datacenter solution (data Center FX) business, but is positioned as a user base for each market size.　　In the data center solution business, Dell sells servers primarily to very large cloud computing infrastructure users.　　Cloud computing is primarily about access to applications or information stored on remote data center servers rather than on local PCs.　　Dell C-Series servers are dedicated to dense and busy cloud computing ecosystems, such as Network service providers, Facebook and other social networking sites, and "Private cloud computing" service providers within the company.　　Dell did not disclose pricing information for new products, which will be bundled with cloud management services. According to Gartner, a market research firm, Dell is the world's third-largest server provider, after Hewlett-Packard and IBM, by revenue. Dell currently produces only X86 servers that are built on industry-standard components. (Yi Fei)
