"Tenkine Server channel June 11 News" Recently, Hewlett-Packard launched a series of related products at the Discover conference held in Las Vegas, USA, which aims to provide some practical products for HP's data center strategy. These include high-performance computing HPC systems, full flash storage arrays, software-defined Network tool software, virtualization of converged systems, and services that are paid for in-service mode.
HP's new HPC system series is Apollo, where HP Apollo 6000 and 8000 servers use modular design, less footprint than previous rack servers, and improved distribution and cooling technology. HP's Apollo series complements its rack-blade servers, moonshot servers based on arm and Intel Atom.
HP Server and Network department senior vice president and general manager Antonio Neri says High-performance computing applications need to grow fast in different industries, many data centers are ill-equipped to handle space, energy, and infrastructure requirements to run the processing power they need. The new HP server is mainly for the science and research market and can run traditional enterprise-class applications such as data analysis and compute-intensive database applications.
HP's enhanced one view of its converged infrastructure management tool allows large enterprises to use improved server and storage automation to manage storage pools across HP 3PAR. HP has also enhanced the Fusion system HP converged system, which is twice times faster than before.
In addition, HP first unveiled its HP Helion self-service HPC, a private cloud product that uses the HP Helion OpenStack cloud Platform as the basis. The product serves as a self-service portal, has built-in computing resources, provides self-service management services to it users, or chooses HP on-demand management options.
On the web, HP unveiled an overview of HP's Virtual Cloud Network SDN (software-defined network) applications. HP's attempts at virtual cloud networks are based on open standards. HP also designed its own SDN software for its switches and helion cloud stacks.
