The GNU Generic http://www.aliyun.com/zixun/aggregation/16952.html ">security Service" (GSS) is the implementation of a universal Security Service API (GSSAPI). It uses the network application, provides the security service, like through the GSSAPI SASL mechanism carries on the authentication smtp/imap. It consists of a library, a manual, and a Kerberos 5 mechanism that supports mutual authentication, DES, and 3DES passwords.
