Japan bitcoin exchange Mt. Gox deputy lawyer Monday told the United States federal judge, said Mt. Mark Karpeles, founder of Gox, will not go to the United States to answer questions about the company filing for bankruptcy protection.
"Capelles is currently looking for a legal adviser to deal with subpoenas on behalf of the U.S. Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (hereinafter referred to as" FinCEN ")," Gox, a lawyer in the United States, said in a document addressed to federal judges. Capelles will not go to the United States to answer questions before finding a consultant and getting advice. ”
FinCEN issued a summons to ask Capelles to go to the United States to answer questions about the company's filing for bankruptcy protection. Mt. Gox filed for bankruptcy protection in Japan this February 28, as the company's network was hit by massive hacking, most of which were stolen by hackers with a total value of $470 million trillion. Last month, Mt. Gox filed for bankruptcy protection in the United States, which was designed to protect the company's remaining assets.
Gox in Monday also requested the Court to make Mt. Gox's bankruptcy testimony was postponed to May 5 this year, but said there was no guarantee that Capelles would testify in court.
