How to configure data migration for Hadoop Pig and Hana using Data Services

SAP BusinessObjects Data Services is an enterprise-per-unit solution to the integration, quality, data processing, and data migration of a company. It allows users to integrate, transform, upgrade and leverage High-value data for core business processes. Dataservices provides a developed user interface, a metadata warehouse, a data connection layer, a real-time operating environment, and a management console.

The SAP BusinessObjects Data Services repository is a series of data services metadata warehouses that consist of a collection of tables. These tables contain metadata and transformation rules for the user-created and the system's own objects, sources (source), Target (target). The creation of repositories on an open C/s (client/server) platform makes it easier to share metadata among other enterprise tools. Each repository must be stored in an existing relational database (RDBMS).

Create a new user in SAP Hana

2. Create a repository using repository Manager Tool in the Linux server of data Services (using Linux commands)

Example:

Dsuser@namenode:~/dataservices/bin>

./repoman-udsuser-paa111111-nhana-tlocal-sdemo_ds–c

3. Create ODBC data source path in Linux

4. Create a new job Server

5. Repository created before association to this job Server

6. Open the browser and login to CMC (the Management Console). Select Data Services and add Data Services Repository (Note: This procedure must use IE browser).

7. Add ODBC on client side

8. Login designer, select the repository that we created previously, and enter the password for SAP HANA user.
