Installation

Mailman provides a web interface for administrators and ordinary users. Mailman uses a peripheral email server to send and receive mail, and he can work well under the following servers

Apache2

Apache2 is already in the library. Please install the package file: Apache2

Exim4

EXIM4 is already in the library. Please install the following package file: EXIM4

Once EXIM4 is installed, the settings file will be stored in/etc/exim4/. By default in Ubuntu, the EXIM4 settings file is split in Split. You can change these displays by changing the variables in the following files:

/etc/exim4/update-exim4.conf:

Dc_use_split_config= ' true '

Suffix

Install the following package file: Postfix, select the default options for Internet site (site) and default options.

Mailman

Mailman is already in the library. Please install the following package file mailman.

It copies the installation files from the/var/lib/mailman. It will install the CGI script in the/usr/lib/cgi-bin/mailman folder.

Mailman created a Linux user named "list." It also creates a Linux user group named list. The mailman process will be mastered by this user.
