Two Intel IA servers with at least two network adapters per server, and an IBM EXP300 disk array cabinet configured with six hard drives.

Installation steps:

A. Close the IBM EXP300 Disk array cabinet and install two Intel IA servers.

1. Install Windows Advanced Server on both Intel IA servers. Examples of computer names are ServerA and ServerB.

2. Properly install the driver for the NIC and SCSI disk array card.

3. Connect a network card of server A with the same model of Server B with a twisted pair, as a heartbeat line. Set the IP address is 10.0.0.1/8 and 10.0.0.2/8; do not have to set the gateway, DNS set up two, the preferred dns:10.0.0.1, alternative dns:10.0.0.2.

4. Another network card of server A and B is connected to the LAN on the switch respectively. IP address settings, like the IP address of the LAN, can be accessed by other machines in the local area network, for example: 192.168.0.1/24 and 192.168.0.2/24; do not need to set the gateway, DNS set up two, the preferred dns:192.168.0.1, Alternative dns:192.168.0.2.

5. Configure active Directory on both Intel IA servers, set ServerA as the primary domain controller, and Server B to set up a secondary domain controller.

Two. Shut down two Intel IA servers and configure IBM EXP300 disk array cabinets.

1. Open Server A and enter the Linux graphical configuration interface of the IBM EXP300 Disk array cabinet with the boot disk from the IBM EXP300 disk array cabinet.

2. Restores the settings of controller 1 to the factory default (restore to Factory default Setting).

3. Creates an array (create array). Set two of the six hard drives in the IBM EXP300 disk array cabinet to RAID 1 and future as a cluster policy disk. Set the other four hard drives as RAID 5 and future as the database system run disk.

4. After the raid is established, configure the array cabinet for future clustering, select ' Configure clustering ', and perform a similar configuration in the pop-up window in the following ways:

Controller name:a CH1 Id:6

Partner name:b CH2 Id:6

Logical Driver1 and Logical driver2 Choose Share mode

Logical Driver1 assigned to merge Group 1

Logical Driver2 assigned to merge Group 2

5. After you press OK, wait for disk initialization and synchronization to complete, exit the Configuration tool, and close server A.

6. Open Server B and enter the Linux configuration interface of the IBM EXP300 Disk array cabinet with the boot disk that is included with the IBM EXP300 disk array cabinet.

7. Restores the settings of controller 1 to the factory default (restore to Factory default Setting).

8. Creates an array (create array). Set two of the six hard drives in the IBM EXP300 disk array cabinet to RAID 1 and future as a cluster policy disk. Set the other four hard drives as RAID 5 and future as the database system run disk.

9. After the raid is established, configure the array cabinet for future clustering, select "Configure Clustering", and perform a similar configuration in the pop-up window in the following ways:

Controller name:b CH1 Id:7

Partner name:a CH2 Id:7

Logical Driver1 and Logical driver2 Choose Share mode

Logical Driver1 assigned to merge Group 1

Logical Driver2 assigned to merge Group 2

10. After you press OK, wait for disk initialization and synchronization to complete, exit the Configuration tool, and close server B.
