iOS users are loyal to Android users and buy iphones

In the next few years, Apple's iphone will benefit from user brand loyalty and feature phone upgrades, which would exceed Android handsets in the US market, according to a new report by the Yankee Group, a market research agency, the online edition of the PC.  The survey of 16,000 US consumers in the past 12 months by the group found that half of the respondents were using Android handsets, while 30% of consumers used the Apple iphone and only 7% per cent of users using Windows Phone.

By contrast, 91% of iphone users say they will buy a smartphone in the future and opt for it. "Apple users ' loyalty is as high as 91%, which means that once the smartphone buyer buys the iphone, he or she is unlikely to switch to another ecosystem,"      Carl Hau said in the report. The      Yankee report also says about 6% of iphone users are planning to switch to Android the next time they buy smartphones, but 18% of Android users say they will choose Apple's iphone for future handsets; about 18% Users are not sure what they want to buy for smartphones.      Carl Hau predicts that brand loyalty and the upgrading of people from functional mobile phones to smartphones will make Apple overtake Android over the next three years.      Looking ahead, Carl Hau that if Android wants to overtake iOS in the future, Google needs to strengthen its Android ecosystem brand.
