Is the cloud vendor's disaster recovery capability sufficient to support critical applications?

When disaster strikes, you don't want to leave a regret. Plan ahead and make sure your cloud provider has sufficient, out-of-the-box Dr Plans-especially for mission-critical applications.

It is critical to assess whether the DR mechanism meets your mission-critical workload requirements by reviewing the cloud vendor's disaster recovery capabilities. The last thing you need to do is to crash the most important workload. Every public cloud vendor has a different protocol. Microsoft Azure, for example, introduces a redundant virtual machine instance across multiple barrier points, which is a set of architectures or different azure data centers to ensure that an azure server fails without crippling critical workloads.

Do not expect cloud vendors to automatically handle your data protection or backup issues, and cloud instances are not necessarily protected instances.
