Sina Science and technology news Beijing time of December 12, the world's largest domain registrars and top host service provider Go Daddy announced in Tuesday, has appointed Yahoo YHOO former chief product officer Black-Owen (Blake Irving) as head of the executive.

Owen's appointment will take effect on January 7, 2013. He will take over Scott Wagner, the interim CEO since July.

Owen tendered his resignation in April this year after Yahoo announced a 2000-person layoff plan. He disagreed with the then CEO, Thompson, on corporate strategy issues.
