Microsoft registers several new domain names for Xbox

The media reported that Microsoft recently registered several new domain names for the Xbox. While Microsoft has not officially announced the names of the next-generation Xbox and its stand-alone games, the registration of new domain names may bring some hints.

Anecdotal rumours suggest that the next-generation Xbox's most likely name is Xbox 720 and Xbox 8. and the newly registered domain name has xbox8.us and xbox8.org. So the Xbox 8 is a lot more likely.

Of course, Microsoft may be registering a new domain name only to prevent others from registering a domain name that might cause Lenovo.

Microsoft registered other domain names as well as xboxphone.com,xboxtablet.com, xboxlivetv.com and xboxcompanion.com. (Bonin)
