Microsoft's new solution pushes cloud operating system practices

January 16, 2013, Microsoft announced a new solution today to help corporate customers manage mixed cloud services and interconnected devices with greater flexibility and better economic benefits. The new solution is dedicated to delivering Microsoft's cloud operating system vision, including system Center SP1, enhanced Windows Intune, Windows Azure Services for Windows Server, and other new products.  Delivers platform for enterprise customers and partners to meet it challenges.

Transformation Data Center





using System Center SP1 and Windows Server 2012, customers can move from managing different data center components to delivering resources in a holistic way: including networks, storage, and computing resources. The cloud infrastructure features such as multi-tenant, software definition networking, and storage virtualization are built into it and are ready for an automated, mixed cloud environment.





with the new system Center, customers can centrally manage cloud applications and resources running in their own data centers, managed data centers, or Windows Azure. By integrating cloud functions and management of service providers directly into business operations, enterprises can extend their data center functions. Administrators can migrate virtual machines to Windows Azure as required and manage them from within System Center.





customers can also use System Center SP1 to back up their servers to Windows Azure to prevent data loss and damage. In addition, SP1 supports global service monitor--, a new Windows Azure service that measures the performance of network applications from a user perspective.





hosting provider and cloud operating system





hosting providers play a key role in the cloud operating system vision, and they have the opportunity to deliver new solutions, attract more customers and increase revenue. With Windows Server 2012 and System Center SP1, they can build multi-tenant, large-scale cloud services that interoperate with customer data centers. For example, System Center SP1 provides a service Provider Foundation API that a managed partner can use to deliver service management for managed infrastructure and applications to customers.





Microsoft has also released relevant Windows Azure technology, allowing the hosting service to provide large-scale Web sites and virtual machine hosting services on its Windows Server 2012 infrastructure. These features are designed to be integrated into the services of the hosting service for easy deployment to their customers.
