On the 40 anniversary of Apollo 11th on the moon, NASA unveiled the source code for the lunar Planning guidance system. The code was very advanced at the time, and today, NASA's software development is still the forefront. Now, many of NASA's software will be available to the public, and anyone can download it for free, modify it, or even use it for commercial purposes.

According to Wired, NASA will release the source code for many software projects in the next Thursday, not only for personal computers, but also for robots, cryogenic systems and even guidance systems.

With more than 1000 software projects announced, NASA will help users find the code they need, build a searchable database, and build systems like GitHub in the aerospace sector. Hacker and businesses can take advantage of these codes and apply them to new areas and develop the latest technology.

Some of the code is open only to specific people, such as the rocket-guided system code, but once you get it, you can use it for free, without paying royalties.

NASA's open source, a part of the White House-led open source Government, was designed to accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and in February this year the Defense Advanced Research Program (Defense Advanced Projects Agency, DARPA) published a similar list Enterprises can easily get their code.

A NASA official said some of the code was inappropriate for security reasons. But many other codes are available to the public. It's not easy to collect these codes because they were all scattered across NASA's departments, and NASA wanted to increase the number of code in the directory and add more code explanations to it.
