VoIP runs on a common data network rather than a telephone line. Voice data is shared with other types of data on a single network. To improve the voice quality, I transform and optimize the network to improve call quality and ensure a high-quality customer service experience. Delay, jitter, packet loss and burst are four QoS characteristics addresses.

Prioritize voice communications by differentiating between VoIP and voice traffic by setting Quality of Service (QoS) on the router. If the system experiences a bottleneck, voice communications need to take precedence over other applications and Internet activity in the network. Ensure a clear voice communication without delays, interruptions or hysteresis.

Voice coding

VoIP coding is the compression and decompression of voice data to improve quality and reduce bandwidth requirements.

The G711 has good voice quality at about 100Kbps bandwidth.

G.726 has good voice quality at about 50Kbps bandwidth.

G.729 has good voice quality at about 30Kbps bandwidth.

Cat 6 cable, a substantial increase in the parameters, the transmission frequency is also extended to 250MHz or higher.

Routers have some PPS (packet per second) capability, which provides traffic shaping and maintenance, allowing voice and video data to be prioritized over the network.

Monitor the network

As I mentioned earlier, the bandwidth used on the network can have an impact on the audio of the call, and if jitter, interruption, etc., immediately reduce the amount of data being transmitted on the network during important conversations. For example, large-scale file transfer and data synchronization, or control the network access point, for the load of the access point to switch to other networks.
