According to CNET, TechRadar, citing anonymous sources, says Microsoft's next version of Windows will focus more on PC games. The report says PC games will become a "key part" of WINDOWS8 and part of Microsoft's "new effort". Little is known about the WINDOWS8 system. But pictures leaked online earlier this year suggest that the new system will include a number of features that allow users to buy and install Windows software in the digital software market. Over the years, Microsoft has been working on several similar efforts, including its own software market games for Windows Live and its recently updated Web download shop, which provides players with the purchase and management of gaming services. Starting with Windows Vista, Microsoft has pushed the game into a more central part of the Windows experience by improving the Games Explorer system, making the game menu more entertaining. But critics argue that Microsoft's efforts are negligible compared with the valve of steam platforms and companies such as Direct2Drive, Impulse and Desura-which offer direct PC-oriented downloads and community functions. However, after watching the game trends, the promotion of PC games there are some more clear reasons. Microsoft's 2010-year sales performance was particularly strong, according to NPD, the software giant's Xbox 360 gaming machine, which grew 34% from 2009. Microsoft has also recently announced that the Kinect's motion-sensing controller has sold more than 2.5 million units, and that the company's target of selling 5 million units by the end of 2010 was half achieved. Perhaps by then, the effort to drive the game will be more deeply integrated into the features of Microsoft's Xbox Live platform, some of which can now be tried by PC gamers, although the client software has not been downloaded and installed first. The whole process eliminates this extra step and building interactivity at the system level has a long way to go to make the game a higher place. (Edit/zz)
