Red Flag asianux Server 3 introduces a new SCIM input framework with international language support capabilities, in addition to fully supporting http://www.aliyun.com/zixun/aggregation/30825.html "> National standards GB18030, also provides users with traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean simultaneous display and input functions, and more fully applicable to Chinese display, Chinese input and Chinese printing solutions.

Chinese display, the realization of the vector font (TrueType) smooth, making Chinese fonts beautiful and practical;

Provides a variety of international popular, Easy-to-use input method, greatly facilitate the use of users;

Provide Input method Manager, users can flexibly create and customize their favorite input method;

Chinese printing, the use of a new version of the Ghostscript 7.0.5 to achieve the Chinese vector font printing.

6.1 Working in Chinese environment

This section mainly introduces the use of Chinese input method in the desktop environment. Normal access to the desktop environment, the input method will automatically start, the panel will appear in the input state area, indicating the current input method status, as shown in the following picture, the panel right below. Open the initial input method is in the English input state.

All Chinese input methods can be toggled through this state area and mouse operation. In order to match the use of the keyboard, the system also provides a standard shortcut keys, used to switch input method and make appropriate function selection.

6.1.1 Start Input Method program

If the input program is not started, the input state area will not appear on the panel. At this point, the user must manually run the Input method program, the command to start Input method is SCIM.

In the System menu, select the "Run command ..." option, the dialog box shown in the following figure appears, and the SCIM is entered in the Command window, which opens the Chinese input method.
