Red Flag asianux Server 3 uses the Yun new stable KDE 3.5.5 as the standard desktop environment, and has done a lot of meticulous optimization and quality improvement work in screen design, culture and function enhancement, which will bring unprecedented convenience to your work, study and life.
Because the desktop environment can be flexibly configured, we have agreed that this chapter and the content referenced later will use the default environment.
2.1.1 The first knowledge of KDE
The following figure shows a typical KDE desktop in the Red Flag asianux Server 3 environment.

The middle part of the screen in the image above is called the desktop, there are many icons on the desktop, such as My Computer, My Network Places, browsers, Recycle Bin, and so on, a long strip at the bottom of the screen called a panel, from which you can start the application or switch on the virtual desktop.
2.1.2 Desktop Components
2.1.2.1 Mouse
We usually use the right hand to manipulate the mouse, called the right mouse. The three keys on the mouse are called left to right, in turn, the key, right, Linux
The system supports a three-button mouse. There are three ways to use the mouse:
Click: Press to release a key;
Double-click a button quickly and continuously;
Drag: After you specify a target, hold down the left mouse button and move it to the destination before releasing it.
We have agreed that, unless otherwise specified in the following content, it refers to the use of the left mouse button.
2.1.2.2 Desktop
The desktop is the user's work area, which shows the files and application icons that the user wants to be accessible, and double-click to run the program or open the file. You can drag, add, or remove desktop icons. Using desktop icons makes it easier to do your job.

2.1.2.3 Panel
The following illustration shows the KDE panel (Kpanel), which includes a Start menu button, a Virtual Desktop manager, a frequently used application and a desktop applet icon, and a task bar that displays the currently running application.
The KDE panel hovers the mouse over an icon for a few seconds, and you see a yellow pop-up cue box that describes the function of the icon.
Main Menu button: the equivalent of the Windows Start button, click the cascading menu that will pop up the system main menu.
Show Desktop button: Click to Yun All windows on the current desktop, making it easy to access desktop icons.
Browser button: Click this button to launch the Mozilla Firefox browser.
E-mail button: Click this button to start the Kontact integrated personal PIM program.
Terminal program button: Click to start Konsole Chinese terminal.
Input Method icon: Click to eject the Input menu, select the Input method to use on the menu.
Clock: Displays the current time, and can customize the display style as needed.
