On July 8, a group of culprits attacked Samsung Electronics' factory near São Paulo on July 8, hijacking some workers while robbing several smartphones, tablets and laptops. Police estimate the value of these products is about 36 million U.S. dollars.
According to Reuters, the gang of criminals disguised as night-time workers hijacked a Samsung employee commuter shuttle into the factory. The incident took place in Campinas, an industrial town in the state of São Paulo, which lasted for almost four hours after zero.
A spokesman for the state public security secretary said the culprits had robbed Samsung products filled with seven trucks for a total of more than 4,000. Currently, the police are investigating the vicious robbery, but so far no suspects have been identified.
A spokesman for Samsung in Sao Paulo confirmed the robbery, but said the police estimated the value of the grabbed items too high. The spokesman also said that at the time of the incident, about 100 employees were on the scene, but declined to give any further details.
Samsung production company in Brazil also issued a statement saying: "We will fully assist the ongoing police investigation, and make every effort to prevent the recurrence of similar incidents."
The report the Brazilian police are giving now looks like a well-planned crime film.
On Sunday night, seven militants hijacked the shuttle to the factory leaving only two of the staff in the shuttle. The others were taken to a remote area and released.
By midnight, militants entered the factory with the two workers they hijacked and disarmed them, bringing their other workers together and ensuring that they could not connect with the outside world.
Subsequently, another 13 crime officers drove into the factory in a truck and started a robbery. The entire team is connected via radio walkie talkies and cell phones. According to the pictures taken by the factory cameras, criminals dressed in black and with hoods.
Fortunately, the entire process of robberies did not cause any casualties, but it is doubtful that the robbers not only have access to the factory, but also know where valuable products are stored. Therefore, some analysts said there must be an internal response in the factory. (Lee Road)
