Simple Notepad to create personalized OEM information

English name is: WordPad or Notepad.

It is now generally referred to as a simple text editing, browsing software notepad.exe included with the Windows operating system.

(However, there are two different versions in Windows 9x and Windows XP that are not interchangeable.) )
Notepad can only work with plain text files, but Notepad becomes the most used source code editor because it is plain text for a variety of formatting sources.

It only has the most basic editing function, so small size, fast start, occupy low memory, easy to use.
"Notepad" features even "WordPad" is not comparable, but it still has its own unique stunt. Now let's take a look at the Notepad. Compared to Microsoft Word, "notepad" function is really too thin, only: New, save, print, find, replace these several functions. But Notepad has an advantage that word can't have: open fast and file small. I believe that we must be deeply touched by this point, it opens at one point; the same text file is saved in Word and saved in Notepad with a large file size, so it is best to use Notepad for the preservation of plain text below 64KB.

Another irreplaceable feature of Notepad is that you can save unformatted files. You can save the document edited by Notepad as: ". html", ". Java", ". asp", and so on in any format. This allows Notepad to find a new purpose: as an editor for the program language. Here to introduce a very simple method, three steps can be easily done.

Preparation of OEM information

(1) Open the Notepad program, in which you enter the following lines:

The file is then saved as a Oeminfo.ini.

(2) Prepare a BMP format picture smaller than 160x120 pixel, rename it to Oemlogo.bmp. The It Starling Network (http://www.it8g.com) reminds you that the picture is the manufacturer's picture displayed in the System properties.

Ii. Make a self-extracting document

Select the two files made above and right click Select the Add to compressed File command, enter Oem.exe in the text box under compressed file name, and check the check mark before creating the self-extracting compressed file (Figure 1), then switch to the Advanced tab and click the Self-Extracting option button. In the pop-up window under the "Decompression path" input: C:\WINDOWS\system32, click the "Confirm" button, OEM information will be made.
