New Delhi, December 17 (Xinhua) Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said 17th that as long as developed countries give "credible" technology transfer and financial support, India is willing to do more to reduce poverty while seeking a positive response to weather changes. In a statement before attending the U.N. Climate change conference in Copenhagen, Mr Singh exaggerated that climate change cannot be addressed at the expense of the long-term poverty of developing countries. He said India, as a responsible member of the international community, had announced that carbon dioxide emissions would fall by 20% per 25% from 2005 levels by 2020. India has also launched a comprehensive national action plan on climate change.
