Today, our society has come to a new tipping point. We are in a time when most people can use the Internet and mobile phones-they are the basic tools to share what they think, feel, and do. Facebook is eager to provide services that will give people the power to share and help them reinvent many of their core institutions and industries.

It is an urgent need and a great opportunity for everyone to connect, to make their voices heard and to promote the future change of society. The scale of the technological infrastructure that humanity needs to build is unprecedented; We believe that this is the most important issue of concern.

We want to strengthen the connection between people

Our mission and Business

I wrote my first version of Facebook myself. Since then, a lot of talented people have joined the team and put their ideas and code into Facebook.

Hacker culture

It is unfair that the term "hacker" portrayed by the media as an invasion of the computer is derogatory. In fact, "hackers" simply mean rapid development, or the ability to challenge the boundaries. Like many things, it is a double-edged sword; however, the vast majority of hackers I've met are idealists who want to make a positive contribution to the world.

Hacker culture is a kind of continuous improvement and innovation of the way of doing things. Hackers believe that the optimization is endless, products are not perfect. When someone says that can not change shred, or satisfied with the status quo, hackers are in front of other people's face, can't help to modify.

Hackers quickly release small updates and learn lessons from them, rather than trying to do it once and for all; To that end, we built a test framework that could test thousands of versions of Facebook anytime. "Hackers" also means a hands-on, aggressive natural discipline.
