The total number of domain names in our country and the proportion of CN domain names decreased at the same time

July 15, CNNIC today released the "26th China Internet Development Statistics Report." The report shows that as of June 2010, the number of .COM domains increased by 535,000, with the proportion increasing from 16.6% to 29.6%. The number of websites dropped to 2.79 million. The number of websites under .CN is 2.05 million, accounting for 73.7% of the total websites. Correspondingly, the total number of domain names in China dropped to 11.21 million, of which 7.25 million were .CN domains. The proportion of .CN in the total domain name dropped from 80% to 64.7%.

The current CN domain names, .CN the end of the second-level domain name ratio is still the highest, accounting for 63.2% of the total number of CN domain names, followed by .COM.CN domain name, 29%.

As of June 2010, the number of IPv4 addresses in China reached 250 million, lagging behind the demand of 420 million Internet users. At present, China's IPv6 address reaches 395 blocks / 32, an increase of 332 blocks / 32 from the end of last year, ranking the 13th in the world.

It is estimated that the global IPv4 addresses will be exhausted as soon as August 2011, and the transition to IPv6 addresses is the general trend. It is imperative for China to deploy large-scale IPv6 networks.
