Three major challenges for the future development of public cloud

The past few years have witnessed significant growth between data centers and IT departments. But for some time now, few experts and scholars were optimistic about the new approach to this solution. Nor did any enterprise venture to try public cloud. At that time, the public cloud was at most a pilot product.

A few years later, senior public IT staff and data center managers have implemented a public cloud and confirmed that it is indeed a viable solution. At the same time, more and more problems are starting to emerge with internal solutions and, in some cases, even service providers can make sense.

There are still some challenges with public cloud solutions and there are three main areas that IT leaders need to consider when dealing with public cloud solutions.

1. Infrastructure compatibility. Many organizations have implemented private clouds or virtualized solutions that rely on an effective VMware architecture. However, if these organizations want to rely on the public cloud, they will face compatibility issues caused by different infrastructures. For example, Amazon Web Services uses a unique Xen model, which means thinking about cross paths in terms of infrastructure.

Long-term view. There is another challenge in considering public cloud solutions. An enterprise organization needs to be able to look at its application and decide how to deploy it for long periods of time in a public or private environment. However, applications tend to have short lifetimes and, once the product's life cycle is over, forces the organization to move in the other direction. The release of the application is an uninterrupted work of the public cloud solution organization.

3. Updated challenge. In fact, the synchronization of vendor products and applications is very beneficial to public cloud solutions. But because the application version upgrade must be controlled more regularly than before, it is a challenge for the organization.

In addition to reliability and security, public cloud solutions can save money and increase scalability, but it also presents a series of challenges that applications must face when moving to the public cloud.
