UAE Telecom expands cooperation with Huawei Cloud computing and Information network

China's information and communication technology giant Huawei and Emirates Telecom signed a memorandum of understanding on public cloud computing and Information network cooperation plans, the US Global Mail website reported October 16.

The MOU was signed at the Dubai 34th Gulf Information Technology Fair. The Gulf Information Technology exhibition is an exhibition of information and communication technology in the Middle East.

Huawei's Dubai regional manager says the deal will give Huawei its edge in providing end-to-end information and communication solutions and research and development capabilities, further providing services to individual and corporate users in the UAE, and maximizing the benefits of future Internet investments by the UAE Telecom.

Over the past decade, Emirates Telecom has worked with Huawei. Two companies have previously cooperated in the long term evolution of 4G mobile networks. UAE Telecom is the most valuable listed company in the UAE, with a market value of $25 billion, and 180 million telecom, mobile and Internet users in 19 countries in the Middle East and Africa.
